Cyanide in Soil - PT proficiency testing material is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. This product is produced according to TNI requirements. Preparation Note

Description The PT is provided as a 30 g soil sample containing acid-soluble cyanide. The PT has been sterilized. Please note the sample format has changed to dried soil. Distillation is required, contains complex cyanide, not suitable for water extraction only. Sample formulated for USEPA 9013A and other similar extraction techniques.Sample Preparation The soil is to be extracted and analyzed using appropriate methods for acid-soluble cyanide. Cyanide is temperature- and light-sensitive. Minimize contact to these conditions. The sample has been buffered to stabilize cyanide. Some methods may require a pH adjustment to 7 prior to analysis.
